Important Tax Dates to Know in 2023

Know your deadlines and due dates when it comes to taxes this year.

Personal Income Tax Return Due Date

The due date for 2022 Tax Returns & Payments is May 1st, 2023.

Personal income tax returns, except for those of individuals with self-employment income, are normally due by April 30th, as is any amount owing. Penalties and interest may be charged for late returns or late payments.

The due date for self-employed personal income tax returns is June 15, 2023.

RRSP Contribution Deadline

The contribution deadline is March 1st, 2023.

If you make contributions after this date, you will have to claim them as deductions on your 2023 tax return.

Annual HST Remittance Due Date

June 15th.

Payment is due by April 30th.

Monthly or Quarterly HST Remittance Due Date

30 Days following the period end.
